Engine color

Post by welbike »

Hi there, have started the CA-1 restoration, and have steamcleanded a lot of parts, not the engine, as I'm not tearing it apart all the way, it ran great.

Question is, were the Waukesha engines painted grey?? mine certainly was, under the civvy bright green, cannot detect any o.d. there!! anyone care to comment??

Grtz,

Alex

ps, will start a restoration topic with pictures later on.

Hi Alex,

Welcome to the forum. It's very quiet on here now I'm afraid.

Although I cannot confirm it, I believe that the engines were grey in colour.

What's your serial number?

Regards,
Neil.
