Hi, am I the first Aussie on the forum?
I have the remains of two Clarkairs.
The first one I got is very rusted and seized.
I paid $60 for it to save it from going to scrap.
I started asking around our military Jeep club for parts and met another guy who was restoring one.
He had done a lot of hard work but was loosing interest and asked me if I wanted to buy it.
So I did. It is complete and in good condition just in pieces.
I have not started work on it yet because I have been restoring a WLA Harley.
Now that is finished I am getting to know my family again.
I am looking forward to starting on the Clark soon.
There are only 5 in Australia that I know of including my 2.
Both are missing the data plates except the one on the blade.
Cheers
Jeff

Jeff, Glad to see you on board. We have something in common besides the Clarks. You are an Aussie and I am an Ozzie (both pronounced about the same!) Welcome on board. let your other friends know about the forum. We look forward to some photos of the Clark. Glad to hear you are working on the WLA. I look forward to learning from you about those as I have one that needs some work.

Hi Ozzie,
just for you a few photos. I can assist you with WLA questions anytime. I love them.
I am going to need help putting the Clarkair back together. So I am glad I found this Forum.
This is the Rusty completely seized one.
This is part of the dismantled one as I was picking it up.
This is the 42WLA finished, well almost waiting on a rear stand and sump guard. Are they ever finished?
Cheers

Jeff,
thanks for that offer. it will be a few months before I start on that, but i will definitely need to work with you on carburation and starter concerns.

Gidday Jeff - I have just purchased Oz's #2 Clarkair - I think its going to be the only one in New Zealand.
Any chance you have a spare winch over there?

Hi Wayne,
Sorry for the late reply (over a year) I only just noticed your reply.
Sorry the spare Clarkair is missing a winch.
Cheers
