CA-1 Carb
The Clark TM list part no. 0-10099. I have found a few references to parts for that model number as well. The predominate reference seems to be the 12522. Thanks for checking on this. It will be a great help to the nearly dozen folks who have taken up the CA-1 hobby this year.

Re: CA-1 Carb
Just got my TM 9-1826C Ordnance Maintenance Carburetors (Zenith) and the 0-10099 is not listed in the TM. I also see where the riveted disk is referenced. My carb has no such rivet. Could my carb be an aftermarket, vintage tractor carb, or is anyone else familiar with the model? It is a parts mystery for me at this point. Here's the TM photo:

Re: CA-1 Carb
Here is a scan of the carb cross section from the Clark TM. As far as I can tell the carb installed on my CA-1 is identical to the one in the TM except it does not have the mil spec riveted tag.

Re: CA-1 Carb
Further review of the TM shows the barely discernible riveted data tag on the carb body just as shown in figure 108 from the TM posted above.

According to the build sheets for the Waukesha Engine that I received from the Waukesha Engine Historical Society, the correct carburetor for the FC in the CA-1 was the Zenith 161-7. That information was as of 22 Oct 43. See my post under "What is the Correct Engine for the CA-1". That does not mean it was used exclusively or up until the end of the war IMHO.

Re: CA-1 Carb
From a Zenith Carb supplement I was able to glean some more information about the CA-1's Zenith 161-7. The -7 differed in that it had a larger flange 7/8" and a larger throttle bore diameter 1.0233" than the standard Model 161. The supplement included detailed disassembly and rebuild instructions that are more detailed than those int he TM. If anyone wants a scan let me know and I'll send them via email.

Re: CA-1 Carb
Just got back from a football game (soccer) with my son. I did a quick exterior cleaning with gas and brush to see what conditions the carb is in. With the exception of the steel parts, everything looks to be in reasonable shape. Next will come the detailed breakdown and interior cleaning.

Re: CA-1 Carb
Cleaning progresses with a light use of fine steel wool to remove surface oxidation and grime without defacing the details.
