Questions on CAB-1 Scraper

Post by mhowardems »

Hi,

I just recently acquired a CAB-1 scraper and looking for any detailed information I can find on this to properly restore it. It will need some sheet metal work on the bottom. Looking for pictures, manuals and photos. Any information would be helpful. I will post pictures soon and the sn from the data plate.

I may have found the grader here locally but need more information to see if it is the correct grader.

Thanks

Hey Mike,
You probably already thought of calling Ray Rigaud at Syltech.com He restored one I think.

Hi,

Here is the information on my scraper. It is a CAB-34-1,
E.B.P.O. 04878
Date of Mfr is July 3, 1943
Reg No. is 0551892
Mfg in Cedar Rapids, IA.

The blade on one of my dozers is a Model 32-1117, BARX 139-1 sn and was made by LaPlant Choate. Still trying to get the sn, data off of it. It was also made in Cedar Rapids, IA. Will get some photos up once I figure how to do it on this site.

Thanks
mike
