I spent an hour or so studying the engine spec sheets sent to me from the Wauk Engine Historical Society. Here are some things I learned, some are conclusions drawn from analysis of the two different spec sheets, some are facts from the sheets themselves.
1. In an earlier post I added the spec sheet from 8 March 1943. It was for the Waukesha FC-151B, 133 CID engine
2. I just posted the spec sheet dated 7 July 1943
3. The spec sheets consist of 3 pages; the Cover Sheet, The Change Sheet and the Accessories and Extras Sheet
4. I conclude that as of 8 Mar 43 the FC 151B was the standard engine fitted in the Clark. Probably any engines built up to that date ot those awaiting shipment were FC151As.
5. It is possible that A models might have been shipped out for the CA1 after the spec sheet came out in march.
6. Based on the pen and ink changes made to the 8 mar spec sheet, it appears that changes were already piling up as early as 21 Mar.
7. When enough changes to the B model were collected it looks like they designated the FC-151C and printed a new spec sheet dated 7 Jul 43.
8. I'll assume engines built after 7 jul were C models, and again there were probably a few B's sitting around unless they anticipated the change and stopped building Bs before the spec sheet changed.
9. We have one Clark owner with an FC-151D also, so I assume there is another set of spec sheets for that engine also.
The great thing about these sheets is that the diameter and thread count and length for many of the screws and bolts is detailed on the sheet. I also now know why commercial Wauks are different. The delete and add from standard instructions on Sheet 2 shows exactly what was left off and added. It appears the Civ FCs had a magneto, a breather tube, the dip stick on the right side and a few other differences. That accounts for why the civilian parts manuals are slightly different in configuration.

I just received some great items from Mr. Borgstrom at the Waukesha Engine Historical Society. He provided copies of the following documents:
1. Waukesha Motor Company Engine Specification Documents as required by the Clark Equipment Company (4 pages scanned for your use)
2. Service Manual for Wauk FC dated 1958. (please post here your request to copy manual pages by specific engine components and I'll do so for reference for all)
3. Waukesha FC parts manual dated May 1957 with exploded vies of various components. (please post here your request to copy manual pages by specific engine components and I'll do so for reference for all)
I'll send a donation to the Society so that they can continue their work. The copies were very light, so bear with me here.
