OK, here's the generator, I thought I had found the right one NOS, but it is a different model, but a shame not to use it!

So while looking things over, I managed to use the original generators end plates, and the NOS armature and main body, together with the new bearings and brushes, some shims needed to be made, but nothing serious.

Hope everything will work OK!

Thanks Ken, will post more today, but then I am where I am now in the timeframe of things, and it will go a bit slower!!

Hope to revive the forum a bit, seems nobody is restoring anything now ? (exept me)

Had also posted in the wanted section, am in desperate need of a startermotor nose cone, as I have been searching for over a year, and have been promised something, but nothing is forthcoming yet, Ken would you have a spare?, since you bought some Clarks for spares I remember.

Guys, am also considering buying the wiring set from Vintage Wiring, but he has no pictures to show, and am a bit reluctant to dish out $350.00 (that is the current price) for something that might not be right? Oz his pictures are all gone, so cannot see it, I do have remains on my machine to compare it with, will make some pictures of that later.

Is there anyone who can send me some pictures of the newly made harness??

I will look again this weekend I looked last week and only found a starter for my second machine but it is a big pile. vintage wiring was sold I know the old owner did great work I got my battery cables from him I know they have made a ca1 harness in the past how the new owner is doing i am not sure. if you need light switches or gauges peter debella has them
your machine looks great it is a nice feeling seeing them go back together
I will look again for the starter
there was a guy that had a machine in the mid west that he had spare parts from here in the us i think he has posted here

Sorry Alex no more starters in the pile that I can find. can you have the one you have welded not the best but might work also there is a engine on ebay but it has a crank start shaft so i think there is no starter with it if it makes you feel any better I hand crank my dozer more than i use the starter it starts easy with the hand crank once you get to know the machine
thanx ken
