Hey Paul sounds like we are brothers now! What a coincidence. We can build our "twins" exactly the same.

I just secured the purchase of another Clark out west. It will be several months before I can haul it off and post pictures, but will do so soon. Its was delivered 3/25/44,
Serial No. 1441158
Registration No. USA 9113112.
Its 30 digits from my current CA-1. The down payment is made, but I'll not close until April.

Bill,
I would recommend adding two pieces of info to the spreadsheet to help us figure out the mystery of where the clarks went after manufacturing. PLease add Where found, what markings and unit (if known)
What are your thoughts.

Great idea Oz. I had added the columns to the spread sheet and it will appear in the the next update.
All those interested please send me the area where you found the CA-1 and any unit markings found on the machine.

Bill,
1944 CA-1 SN 1441128, USA - 9113082 was purchased from NY. It had been there a while. It looks to have been completely blasted and painted yellow a while ago. No markings.
1944 CA-1 SN 1441158, USA 9113112 has been in ajunk yard in OK for the last 15 years or so. The USA numbers are still visible on the engine cowl. I am unsure if any unit numbers are available.

Hi all,
Here's my data, if I find out more (the dataplate of Clark with engine number 572582 has been used on another Clark restoration and is in a museum in Holland) I will add to it.
Alex Clarkair data, all In Netherlands exept 1441156 still in GA
Serial Prod. Date Eng. No. USA No. Location Condition
????????? ????????? 572582 ?????????? from UK wreck
143878 2-08-43 572635 963949 from France running/unrestored
1441156 3-25-44 ????????? 9113110 US GA in parts
1441401 3-25-44 613889 9113355 from CA unrestored
Unfortunatly I cannot display the data very well here, but guess it will be added to the list.
Have pictures of the dataplates if anyone interested, did Clark stamp the serial on the frame anywhere??
