Re: Some seat parts

Hi there Good to here you now have a new seat !! Mine is missing the seat although I have the angle supports and the toolbox tray. I would love to buy your original seat however postage to the UK would probably be too much for an item only fit for a pattern to fabricate a new one from. Is there any ...

Re: Headlamp/taillamp lens Part number

Thanks for the information. Iguessed someone would be able to find the k D number to make hunting one down on eBay easier! I spent years looking for headlights for my WWII Cletrac M2 only to find they were used on Bantam cars pre war. So tracked somedown on you know where! I have just found what loo...

Re: Headlamp/taillamp lens Part number

I was guessing that the headlight would be a K D lamp Co. product as the Clark CT-6 tractor of the period also uses K D lamp headlights. The Clark tractor uses a different size and shape of bowl the K D 866/867 bowl. What is the diameter of the light lense and the dimensions of the bowl?? Normally t...

Re: Wiring

Hi Oz That looks fine to me. I see you have swapped the terminals over on the ignition and light switch!! Technically the flow of electrons is from + ve pole to - ve pole and therefore the original diagram would have been correct. Only a switch and makes no difference which way round it is wired. Yo...

Re: Pictures of CA-1 Air cleaner

Oz

Thanks for that I have nearly all tinwork to make and ballast boxes so every drawing helps get that bit closer to complete Clark!

Mine has been re-engined with a Continental and I would like to put the correct engine in it , but the Waukesha engines are even harder to find in the UK!!

Re: Wiring

Oz My understanding would be that the distributor points are connectted to the block and frame etc.. and therefore via the short lead from the distributor to the + ve terminal on the coil. Putting +6volts on the +ve terminal of the coil and as you say to complete the circuit the other terminal on th...

Re: Wiring

Hi Oz 1. Your assumption on the ammeter is correct, even if the wires are reversed it would only mean the gauge would show disscharge instead of charge and vicea versa. If that's the case swap the wires!! 2. Normally the post marked + ve is the supply the unmarked terminal is the load. Again only a ...

Re: What oil or Hydraulic Fluid is used?

Hi Oz This scanned page from the hydraulic manual TM5-1270 may help!! http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t40/pmarriott100/001.jpg SAE30 thats certainly what I topped my system up with, maybe there is a better modern oil but at least with SAE30 there is no chance of eating away original rubber seals....
