Thanks Art. All credit to her previous owner who did a great job on the restoration. His sheet metal work is first class.

Re: American Machine and Metals Inc. advertisement
I think I found it online somewhere. It's been saved on my pc for quite some time.
I think it'll look good printed and framed.

American Machine and Metals Inc. advertisement
I thought I'd share an original advertisement I found for American Machine and Metals Inc. If your Clark was built in 1944 there's a fair chance it was manufactured by this company as they took over production from Clark. Thanks Ken. Do you think the gauges are original? I don't think they are but not sure.

878th Airborne Engineer Aviation Battalion Clarks
I bought a large photographic grouping taken by an engineer from the 878th Airborne Engineer Aviation Battalion. One batch of photos was taken during training at Westover and these gems were amongst them. http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e47/jonesn152/img151a-forum_zpsdn3sijbb.jpg http://i36.photob...

Re: The 6th Airborne Divisional Engineers on D Day 1944
Great link Ken. For Christmas I was given the book 'Operation Tonga: The Glider Assault'. It briefly mentions the three Clarks which were borrowed from the US and flown onboard Horsa Gliders to Normandy. One glider crashed in the channel, one crashed on landing destroying the Clark but one landed an...
