I thought I'd share an original advertisement I found for American Machine and Metals Inc. If your Clark was built in 1944 there's a fair chance it was manufactured by this company as they took over production from Clark. I believe it Westover airfield but the backs of the photos only has Westover written on them.

I bought a large photographic grouping taken by an engineer from the 878th Airborne Engineer Aviation Battalion. Great link Ken. For Christmas I was given the book 'Operation Tonga: The Glider Assault'. It briefly mentions the three Clarks which were borrowed from the US and flown onboard Horsa Gliders to Normandy.
